Debra A. Woog (pronounced like “Vogue” magazine) originally created Connect2 Corporation to coach women professionals to accelerate their individual development and career growth with outstanding communications. In 2019, after 20 years in business, she refocused Connect2 on supporting women to navigate their way through personal and professional crises. 

In times of crisis or calm, Debra guides women to align their leadership choices and communications with their Brilliance and Unique Definitions of Success, so that they transform from overwhelmed to effective in their difficult situations.

Debra’s career path has included conducting research at Harvard Business School for an award-winning career development study, advising nine technology start-ups as Director of People Strategy for Cambridge Incubator, and directing admissions and career development for the MIT MBA dual-degree program Leaders for Global Operations. The Boston Globe profiled Debra for her outstanding abilities to select talented candidates, motivate and develop employees, and resolve conflicts between people as well as between organizations. A sought-after expert, Debra’s work has also been featured in Forbes, Inc., US News & World Report and more.

Debra earned her B.A. in Psychology and American Studies from Wellesley College and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. MIT Sloan recognized her leadership abilities and community contributions by awarding her the Miriam Sherburne Scholarship. She is trained as a mediator and an ombudsman.

An enthusiastic theater-goer and occasional intuitive painter, Debra delights in spending time with her high-school-aged son and daughter. She’s also a voracious reader and a sometimes knitter.

Why do I do what I do? 

Well, I know from my own experience how difficult it can be to do it all. Sometimes life presents us with more challenges than we feel we can handle on our own.  In the midst of all my activities as a leader, entrepreneur, homeowner, family member and friend, I have lived through diagnoses, divorce, death of loved ones, corporate downsizing, and uncomfortable disputes. My journey has demonstrated the value of my skills as a researcher, communications strategist and personal advisor, as well as a fiercely loving individual.  It would be my honor to support you too, to find your best possible outcomes from disturbing circumstances. —Debra
