Brilliance-Based Blog Panel: Letting Go of a Belief, Fear, or Relationship

Today we present Topic #1 with our new Brilliance-Based Blog Panelists.  Once again, each month four Brilliance-Based Businesswomen will share their perspectives on questions I pose to benefit each of us as women entrepreneurs.  I welcome you to add to the dialogue by commenting below on today’s topic.

As Brilliance-Based Businesswomen, give an example of a belief, fear or relationship you’ve recently let go and share how you did it.

Stefanie Frank – Initiative Based Writing®

Something I let go of recently is the insidious need to resist “stuff” that doesn’t feel good, such as writer’s block or lack of motivation to train. As human beings we all experience this stuff and I was a master at resisting and fighting it. Not only is that exhausting, it’s unproductive.

Letting go was not easy. It’s taken three years of being in business and engaging in some pretty intense coaching for this to happen. And, at times I’m tempted to go back to the way things were. The exhausting roller coaster and ritual of things going well, then not well, and beating myself up when things aren’t going the way I want them to.

Staying committed to myself and my spiritual growth and committing to being coached was how I did it. And I’m not finished. This type of work is never done.

Jennifer Zwiebel – A Place of Joy®

I have finally given myself permission to have what I want. In order to have it I needed to let go of a whole lot of guilt, fear, and the feeling that I didn’t deserve it (who was I to have what I want? I don’t deserve it unless I make “enough” money, unless it’s the “right” time, unless I clean up my room…). What I discovered was that all the stuff you’re counting on to eventually get you where you want to be happens much more quickly and easily if you allow yourself to have what truly brings you joy NOW.

The minute I allowed myself to start my day later so I could loll around in bed with my baby, and gave myself permission to be fully present on my playdates with my four-year-old instead of rushing through them to get to the next thing on my list, my business stepped up to another level. The minute I declared, “If it isn’t easy, it isn’t happening,” my mind cleared and my to-do list practically evaporated, either because things were getting done with ease or being released out into the universe.

So I offer you this: Take a moment to feel what you’re really longing for, and give yourself permission to be in joy now. Incorporate what you want into your life today, in a small or big way, and know that you deserve it, always.

Heather Dominick – EnergyRICH®

When it comes to letting go of a belief, fear or relationship, I always turn to my EnergyRICH® Belief Transformation Tool.  This tool allows me (and my clients) to move a belief that is overpowering (imagine a level 10) to the next step down until I’m able to release the belief fully. I clearly identify the limiting belief, then I find anchors contrary to this belief, and the evidence and experience in my life that says otherwise, to shift and release this belief.

Over the last year I have been told time and again not to focus on  supporting spiritual coaches, healing practitioners and creative entrepreneurs. That this this population is too hard to serve, too stuck in limited mindset and beliefs. And that I would exhaust myself by committing to coach them.

I refuse to believe this and simply used my EnergyRICH® Belief Transformation Tool to show my way to the evidence of how many spiritual coaches, healing practitioners and creative entrepreneurs I have already served.  As well as that there are so many more out there ready and willing to commit to their change.  This allowed me to deepen my commitment to my purpose to serve them.

Bryn Johnson – Bryn Johnson Consulting

Over the past few months, it has been a bonanza of letting go in my business and life. One decision that looked like a little wave ultimately created a domino effect of letting go that looked much more like a tsunami. Relationships, hurtful behaviors, clients, limiting beliefs, collaborators, mentors…all being let go!

But honestly, it all started with one decision. I let go of not knowing. No more saying “I don’t know”. I DO KNOW. I may need help. I may need support. I may need ideas. I may need more information but I do know. And I can trust myself. Trust my first impressions. Trust that little voice in my head. Believe in ME. Trust ME. Such a powerful lesson in letting go of the uncertainty. Already the results have been beyond my wildest dreams.

We all tell ourselves stories.  And, regardless of whether or not our stories are true, they make a direct impact on the life we create for ourselves.  Is it time for you to let go of a story?  Perhaps a belief, fear or relationship that’s no longer serving you?  Take a moment now to reflect.  Want support to do so?  Email us to arrange a brief one-on-one chat.  Just by doing so, you’ll create a powerful inner shift.
