I love stories of smart, heart-centered women creating businesses around their own brilliance! So today I’m launching a new series called “Reflections of a Brilliance-Based Businesswoman.” In the coming months I’ll be sharing profiles of such role models for your inspiration.
The following feature is excerpted from my interview with Jennifer Urezzio, a master intuitive, author, teacher and speaker who founded Know Soul’s Language.
Briefly, what are the highlights of your career story?
I was the VP of Media Relations for a public relations (PR) company that was the secret weapon of PR companies. When PR firms wanted to get someone on national TV, we booked their clients on Oprah, Live with Regis & Kelly, and The Today Show. I created segment ideas and pitched stories to producers. When my best friend, a former producer of The View, started the company, I taught her about PR.
Working there was a total blessing and total chaos. The experience gave me a lot of skills that I use to this day, and my best friend was the best possible boss for me. But I hated PR – everyone trying to make a round hole square and a square box round. It wasn’t a good fit for me.
I started working with Master Intuitives, stepping into my power. I was always interested in that kind of thing. During a reading, an intuitive suggested that I take a 12-week program. It was more money than I’d ever spent on myself. I had to take money out of savings. It was the best money I’ve ever spent. At end of the 12 weeks I was totally changed. That started me on the road.
When you put money behind your own development, the payout is ten-fold. But it’s so important to check in and make sure the resource is a match, mind body and soul. I wrote an article about how to do this – if anyone wants to email me I’ll send it to you.
Soon I started getting intuitive clients. I founded a new paradigm of divine guidance where I guide clients to understand their Soul’s Language. Now I understand I’m here to help people create a conscious connection to their souls.
I serve anyone who truly wants a deep and profound relationship with themselves and who wants to live an abundant spiritual life. I help clients really know and feel who they are so that they can shower themselves will love and acceptance. This new way of understanding how the soul expresses itself is being embraced by top healers, lifestyle coaches and CEOs all over the country.
How do you define “success” for yourself?
My greatest desire is success. To my soul, success means results. I define success as a result that nurtures my life.
For example, I live in an apartment with a downstairs neighbor who is not energetically compatible. This is not nurturing my life. If I value who I am and I value my success than I deserve to live in a place that is harmonious. So I’m making the change to move.
Whatever nurtures you allows you to be in the Flow and to be successful.
What changes have you made or experienced in your life and business that have enabled you to experience more ease?
We naturally try to control, to try to keep ourselves safe. When you fully understand and accept that you are being loved and supported by the Divine, and you let go of trying to control everything, things just flow easier.
Recently I received some feedback from an individual in one of my programs. In the past I’d judge myself about it and rush to resolve it. But I can’t really do that right now, so I decided to assign a time and address it then. The time came and I called the individual. She started the conversation by saying “I had an a-ha!” And everything I was going to say, she said to me.
Because I let go of that control, energetically I offered her the opportunity to see something and she saw it. When you let go of control, which has so many shapes and forms, it can only bring out Flow in your life.
What would you love your next breakthrough to be?
I’m currently working on Soul Language and relationships. I’m excited about that!
What brings you joy?
Being in the Flow and one with the Universe…
